New Builds

JMJ Construction can oversee your new build projects from start to finish.

We work 'on site' which enables us to manage the running of projects efficiently, to schedule in the experienced team of tradesmen to avoid frustrating delays and to liase with the various contacts we have in the building industry, all of which helps us to bring your development in on time and on budget.

Please take a look at some of our work:

Frog End Shepreth, Cambridge, SG8 6RF

This development started with the demolition of a pair of derelict semi- detached houses to create a generous plot. Planning was granted for a detached four bedroom house and a pair of two bedroom semi- detached house. This development came under the jurisdiction of South Cambridgeshire District Council and it was necessary to work closely with them on the planning as there are several listed buildings in close proximity and the planning needed to be sympathetic to this.

All properties include:

  • Photo-voltaic panels fitted to the South Facing roofs that produce electricity for a) domestic use and b) to generate electricity for sale to the national grid.
  • Under-floor heating to the ground floors
  • Fully fitted kitchens
  • Oak flooring to downstairs
  • Fitted bathroom

Bury Water Lane, Newport, Essex, CB11 3TR

We built a pair of houses for a client on land that had been part of the client's garden.

The challenge on this site was its close proximity to a river and unstable sub soil that necessitated the foundations being piled to a depth of 16 meters.

The intricate structure of the roof meant that it was 'hand cut' and needed to have extensive steelwork along its ridge.
